Your information
Privacy policy
You should know what happens to the details you share with us. Last updated 24 October 2026.
Who this policy covers
This policy explains how FrankCFO handles personal information collected through this website. FrankCFO is headquartered in Melbourne and provides services remotely across Australia. It covers website enquiries, speaking enquiries, free workbook requests, newsletter subscriptions and private CRM access.
What we collect
When you enquire, we collect the name, email, organisation, sector, optional phone number and message you provide. A workbook request includes your name, work email, organisation, optional phone number and the guide requested. Newsletter signup collects your name and email. We record the source, date and time of requests, marketing choices, the consent wording shown, and unsubscribe history. Our private CRM may also contain business follow-up notes, status and follow-up dates.
Technical information and sign-in
Our hosting and security services process technical information such as IP addresses, browser requests and error logs to operate and protect the site. Rate-limiting identifiers help prevent misuse. Essential sign-in and security cookies are used for private CRM access. If the owner uses Google sign-in, Google supplies account identity information, including name, email, verification status and profile image. This is for authentication, not access to Gmail or other Google content. Google also handles information under its own privacy policy.
Why we use it
We use enquiries to respond, discuss services or speaking arrangements, and manage follow-up. We use workbook details to provide the requested download and record the resource interest in our private CRM. Newsletter and optional workbook marketing consent let us send finance tips, resources and information about FrankCFO services. We also use information to secure the site, maintain records and meet applicable legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Your marketing choice
A contact or speaking enquiry is not newsletter consent. Workbooks can be downloaded without ticking the optional marketing box. Newsletter signup requires an express opt-in. We keep a record of that choice. Emails used in forms are self-reported, so contact us if someone has submitted your address without permission. Marketing messages must identify FrankCFO and include an unsubscribe option. We action unsubscribe requests within five working days and retain a suppression record to prevent further marketing. A repeat anonymous download or signup does not reverse a previous opt-out.
Storage, service providers and overseas processing
Enquiries, leads and preferences are stored in a private, access-controlled CRM. FrankCFO uses Abacus.AI for website hosting, database and related services, and service providers for email delivery and authentication. Approved providers may process information on our behalf, and information may be disclosed where required by law. Hosting, email and authentication may involve processing outside Australia; we do not represent that all information remains in Australia. Contact us for current information about providers and locations before sending information with residency requirements. CRM exports may be used in a marketing sending tool only with the recorded permissions and current unsubscribe preferences.
Keeping information safe and only as long as needed
We use access controls and reasonable safeguards to protect information, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. We retain information while reasonably needed for the enquiry, service relationship, consent records, dispute handling or legal obligations. We review retention when those purposes end and delete or de-identify information when appropriate. Backups may retain information for a limited period under the hosting provider’s lifecycle. Minimal opt-out records may need to remain so your request is honoured.
Access, correction, removal and complaints
Email [email protected] to request access to your information, correct a detail, request removal or raise a privacy concern. We may ask you to verify your identity before disclosing or changing records. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why, subject to lawful restrictions. We will acknowledge complaints and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Please keep sensitive information out of these forms
Do not submit patient, participant, medical, banking-login or other sensitive records through public forms. If we need business financial records for an agreed engagement, we will arrange a suitable method after the initial conversation. Linked third-party websites have their own privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the website or our handling practices change. The version published here applies to current website collection. We will seek fresh permission if a new use requires it; changing this page does not automatically expand an earlier marketing consent.
